On Thursday 15th May 2025 we had Ariel Motor Company bring their E-Nomad concept car to iAero, for the Royal Aeronautical Society and Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) meeting. It was really great to see the exceptional technological advancements in the local area. This is something I’m sure many people took a lot from.
Rhys Gamlin and Tom McLaren, from Ariel Motor Company, gave a presentation about the engineering behind the car and how they have got it to where it is now. It was great to hear the highs and the lows of development, and how it led to such a brilliant success. They explain how they make 80 exclusive cars a year.
You may wonder how this links to iAero? Innovation! We are truly passionate about innovation in technology, and for Ariel to be so close to our Centre is incredible.
